Château Puech-Haut
Visit Château Puech-Hautis nestled between the shores of the Mediterranean and the foothills of the Cévennes in the commune of Saint-Drézery, a small village 15 kilometers northeast of Montpellier. It was here, some thirty years ago, that the crazy dream of a passionate industrialist, Gérard Bru, took shape: to turn an exceptional terroir, then covered with garrigue and olive trees, into one of the highest-quality vineyards in France. LanguedocChâteau Puech-Haut.

A mission amply accomplished in ten years: the Puech-Haut vineyard today boasts some 100 hectares of vines benefiting from a very favorable Mediterranean climate on soils made up of clay, limestone and covered with rolled pebbles, the same as those found in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The grape varieties, selected by Château Puech-Haut for their suitability to the terroir (with Syrah and Grenache at the forefront), are cultivated according to reasoned principles without the use of chemical weedkillers, and the grapes are harvested by hand at perfect maturity. Vinification, in barrels or wooden vats depending on color, is carried out separately for each grape variety, to preserve all their typicity. Finally, ageing in barrels meets criteria that give the Coteaux du Languedoc wines from the domaine du Château Puech-Haut.

Château Puech Haut, where man's know-how meets nature's intelligence

The vineyards of Château Puech-Haut offer you an exceptional cuvée worthy of great expertise and quality vines. The Puech-Haut experience brings all the satisfaction of a grape variety with a singular character steeped in history.

A unique terroir in an exceptional setting

Situated on 150 hectares near Montpellier, between the Mediterranean and the Cévennes, Domaine Puech-Haut enjoys a climate that benefits the finesse of its wines. Its founder, Gérard Bru, after a long career in business, turned to a simple plot of land to build his dream: to put himself at the service of his Languedoc land and bring out all its richness, as his grandfather had done before him. "Am I crazy? I'll let others be the judge of that. But when I have a dream, I go all the way", he says. That's the man behind this land, cared for with love and respect, which is now revealing its full potential through a top-quality wine.

A wine with unique characteristics, produced with respect for the land and its people

The vines are cultivated in harmony with nature, respecting the vine and its natural cycle. The viticultural work is based on unquestionable traditional and modern know-how, giving each cuvée its own unique character. The high quality of the Languedoc soil, made up of clay, limestone and covered with rolled pebbles, gives each grape variety its own identity at Domaine Puech-Haut.

A wide variety of vines for a unique Château Puech-Haut blend

Visit wines Puech-Haut red, white or rosés testify to the wide variety of vines present on the estate. After each harvest, the wines are meticulously blended according to the characteristics of the different grape varieties present on the three parcels that make up the Puech-Haut estate. The château produces around 500,000 bottles a year, including the cuvées Aries headToday, they embody the French and Languedoc wine tradition. The red wines are made predominantly from Syrah, but also from Grenache, Mourvèdre and Carignan, while the white wines are made from Grenache, Marsanne and Roussanne, bringing a richness of aroma and texture to the products. Château Puech-Haut shares its passion for the land and the work of the vine.
