About the domain :
Since 1998, this 10-hectare estate in the Villafranchian terroir of Caux, not far from Pézenas, has been the work of former Sétois restaurateur Jean-Pierre Vanel. Taken over in 2016 by young winemaker Marc-Olivier Bernard, the property is undergoing a smooth transition, which should enable the continuity of the beautiful, sensitive and natural style developed over the space of two decades. Aged for a long time in wood, the reds (including the predominantly Syrah cuvée Mélanie) are generous, colorful wines, carefully crafted. They boast a sunny, ripe character, but without heaviness thanks to controlled alcohol levels. The confidential Cuvée de mourvèdre ...Ma Non Troppo is well worth seeking out.
