Domaine de Baronarques
In 1998, Baroness Philippine de Rothschild and her two sons acquired a 43-hectare vineyard in the commune of Sainte-Polycarpe, near Limoux. Originally, the Domaine de Baronarques was called Domaine de Lambert, a name it would not change until the arrival of the de Rothschild family.

When Domaine de Baronarques was purchased, major renovation work was undertaken on the vineyard and winery. It wasn't until 2003 that the estate's first vintage was released, with a single cuvée. La Capitelle du Domaine de Baron'Arques and Chardonnay were added in 2008 and 2009.

"In 2015, this estate freed itself from its apostrophe to simply call itself Baronarques. He presented this cuvée, which the producer considers to be his second wine: the blend does not include Cabernets; aging is shared between vat and barrel. Second wine? For tasters, it stands out from the crowd, like the 2011, which was honored before it. A deep, intense red, this vintage offers a nose centered on red fruits and cherries, enhanced by spices, and proves excellent on the palate, with its elegant attack, ample, structured body and dazzling aromas of jammy red fruits, tinged by the barrel with hints of mocha. Fruit, structure and complexity". (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2017)

"The 2007 Limoux is aging gracefully, with elegant notes of plum, blackcurrant and pencil sharpening. Fleshy, with ample fruit and lovely complexity, it should continue to reveal itself well in the future." (Wine Advocate 2015 - Jeb Dunnuck) - Ready to drink!
