Cazeneuve Castle
Located in the heart of the Pic St Loup appellation in the commune of Lauret, the vineyard of Château de Cazeneuve is an old building dating back to the 9th century. A privileged terroir in northern Languedoc, the Pic Saint-Loup appellation enjoys a unique climate that is both cooler and wetter than the surrounding area, and consists of a mosaic of mainly clay-limestone soils. The vineyard is located in a natural cirque backed by the Causse de l'Hortus, with various exposures and three types of soil: hard limestone, clay-limestone scree, and soft limestone on marl.

Château de Cazeneuve was purchased in 1987 by André Leenhardt and has undergone restructuring over time. Its vineyard now covers 45 hectares and has been certified organic since 2010. Château de Cazeneuve is a family-run business, now in the hands of the second generation, represented by Quentin Leenhardt. The estate's philosophy is to produce Pic Saint Loup wines with a strong identity. The wines of Château de Cazeneuve reflect the different terroirs, which is the guiding principle behind the choices made in terms of blending, vinification, and aging.

The decision was made to produce exclusively in Pic Saint Loup, combining the following grape varieties: Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Carignan, and Cinsault. The white vineyard allows Languedoc wines to be produced from the following grape varieties: Roussanne, Marsanne, Grenache blanc, Vermentino, and Viognier.
