"Rich substance and oak that will take time to integrate but promises great emotions from 2020 onwards." (Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2019 - RVF) The estate's latest creation, Midi Rouge, racy and intense, is the cuvée that pays homage to its elders. Worthy of the great Languedoc wines!

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Wine rated (2019 guide) 16/20 (Very good wine)
Domain rated (guide 2024) 2*Stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more regular and homogeneous than the previous one)
About the domain :
Camille Izarn, supported today by her husband Ulrich, produces wines that are all highly commendable. The domaine is in good hands after the accidental death of her father, the late Jean-François Izarn. Terres Blanches is an entry-level wine that looks upmarket and deserves to be sought out. Cuvée Les Schistes has great ageing potential, while Les Crès is made from Villefranchian pebble soils. Midi-Rouge in the Saint Chinian Roquebrun appellation is the most ambitious cuvée from this estate, which has been biodynamic since 1998.
Guide Hachette des vins
Domain rated (guide 2024) Awarded wines (The wines of this producer are regularly awarded by the guide)
About the domain :
A 20-hectare estate run since 1998 (organically and biodynamically) by Jean-François Izarn, an adept of gentle vinification using indigenous yeasts, respectful of the environment and terroir. This highly valued winemaker, recognized and appreciated by his peers, "left the scene" prematurely in 2014. His wife Cathy brilliantly took over from him before handing over to Camille, their daughter.
RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Rated (2019 guide) 15.5/20 (Good wine)
Domain rated (guide 2024) Selected (We remind you that this guide is a prize list and as such, all the domains that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).
About the wine:
A rich texture and a woodiness that will take time to integrate, but promises great emotions from 2020 onwards.
About the domain :
Camille has been rooted in the estate's 60 hectares of holm oak, garrigue and vines since she was very young. While beginning her career as a journalist in Paris, fate brought her back to the heart of the family vineyard in 2014, following the death of her father, the charismatic Jean-François Izarn. The young woman has since proved her worth, continuing to express the geological variety of her area, to the east of the appellation, in her various cuvées. With the help of Ulrich, her companion with a passion for agronomy, and her mother, who is always at her side, Camille is pushing ahead with new projects, such as the construction of the wine library and the planting of a new cuvée to be launched in 2024.
