Domaine Ogereau
This family estate is located in the heart of Coteaux du Layon and Savennières run by Vincent Ogereau in partnership with his son Emmanuel. On 23 hectares of vines, the Chenin, the region's flagship grape variety, is given free rein to express all its facets, whether dry or sweet, on a mosaic of terroirs: schist, sandstone, spilite, Aeolian sands, altered schist...

Since 2019, the Ogereau vineyard has been certified organic. The biodynamic approach has recently been introduced (2020) under the expert guidance of Michel Chevré. Domaine Ogereau was voted "Producer of the Year" by Bettane & Desseauve in 2020, and looks forward to many fine years ahead.

"Fruit bomb

Already bursting with fruit on the nose, Enjouée lives up to its name. This veritable fruit bomb, with its intense citrus notes, reveals juicy, crunchy fruit on the palate. Harvested at the end of September, the slight sweetness is well integrated by a texture that calls up aromas of grapefruit and others... A tender Chenin, all sweetness and lightness that will melt hearts!

"Chenin Nectar

"Vincent Ogereau's approach to these terroirs is based on a "Burgundian climat logic". Here, a terroir of Briovérien schist has given birth to this Quarts-de-Chaume of a magnificent intense golden-yellow color. The nose, both rich and delicate, evokes elegant scents of honeysuckle, dried apricot, honey and sweet spices, enlivened by hints of citrus. Full-bodied, opulent and suave on the palate, underlined by a fine acidic structure, this wine is perfectly balanced. Pleasant, persistent vanilla flavors enliven the finish". Straightforward, chiselled and fresh, Bonnes Blanches en sec delivers a white wine with an assertive structure and a deep, well-balanced palate. Finely herbaceous aromas, pastry notes and toasted almonds carry us away. The long finish ends with a minty freshness and a hint of bitterness. A real success!

cabernet franc

"Elegant and juicy

This Cabernet Franc, gently infused for 25 days and made from free-run juice only, is elegant and juicy, with a beautiful black cherry color. On the nose, it's a festival of red fruits, floral notes and spices, punctuated by hints of graphite, characteristic of Cabernet grown on schist. Structured and fine, the palate is a pleasure to drink, with silky tannins. Carried by a freshness with fine bitters, the finish is salivating!
