Drink or Keep
Produced from the oldest vines on the finest terroir of Le Clos, this powerful red wine already reveals all its concentration to the eye, in its deep ruby color. The body is dense and generous, with intense, toasty red fruit. The tannins unwind in a supple, unctuous mouth, with precision and persistence through to the mineral finish. A very fine Saumur-Champigny!

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (2020 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, in line with what one has the right to expect from its appellation(s))
About the domain :
The arrival of the talented Jean-Philippe Louis as technical director has breathed new life into this sleepy Saumurois beauty, for here we find clay-limestone and benevolent sunshine. The 2018s herald the estate's resurrection, with a fleshy, fruity cuvée of old vines in the reds. The white Clos des Oratoriens requires more patience. Stay tuned!
