Château Vannières

Château Vannières, located between the village of La Cadière d'Azur and Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer, faces south and west, sheltered to the north by the Sainte Baume mountain range. To the east of the property lies the village of Le Castellet. The Château Vannières estate covers 47 hectares, 33 of which are dedicated to vineyards.

This Provence vineyard is planted with traditional Bandol grape varieties: Mourvèdre, Grenache, and Cinsault for red and rosé wines, and Clairette and Rolle for white wines, on marl and limestone soil. The vines are cultivated in the purest Bandol wine-growing tradition, with particular attention paid to pruning, hoeing, and scratching the vines to aerate the soil and prevent weeds from growing. At Château Vannières, the grapes are harvested exclusively by hand, and each grape variety from each plot is vinified separately. The wines are traditionally aged in oak casks and barrels for the reds, and in stainless steel vats for the rosés and whites. This meticulous and rigorous approach ranks the wines of Château Vannières among the best in the appellation.
