About wine:

The woodiness from aging blends perfectly with notes of citrus, zest, thyme, and a hint of smoke. A beautiful, well-crafted wine with depth, but still holding back a little. Aeration will help it blossom.

About the estate:

Located on the Séoules hill, in the hills above Nice at an altitude of nearly 300 meters, the terraced vineyard benefits from the sea spray that tempers the summer heat. After producing 47 vintages and establishing the reputation and renown of the Bellet appellation, Ghislain de Charnacé sold his 12-hectare vineyard in 2014 to the real estate management company La Française REM (which owns other vineyards). Considerable resources have been invested in restructuring the vineyard, under the leadership, since summer 2018, of Jean de Laître, a talented master craftsman in the field of viticulture, who is also active in the Bordeaux region. An ultra-functional winery at the foot of the old chapel now allows the wine to be made as close as possible to the terroir. A new style is emerging, with the range being reorganized into three levels (entry-level, terroir wines, and exceptional agnès cuvées), promising a bright future for this historic estate. The latest vintages reflect this welcome change.

About wine:

A golden yellow color adorns this Vermentino-dominant cuvée (90%), which offers a complex nose combining mango, candied zest, vanilla, roasted and spicy notes. Round and opulent, it is still marked by aging and requires some time in the cellar.

About the estate:

This estate was created in 2012 from the merger of two properties, Ch. de Bellet and Les Coteaux de Bellet, which were purchased by the French company REM. The vineyard covers 10 hectares.
