Château de Bellet
The Barons of Bellet founded the estate on the hills above Nice, their title being granted in 1777 by the King of the Sardinian States. This Savoy family gave its name to the appellation, which celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2011: one of the oldest A.O.C.'s.

Situated between the Mediterranean and the Alps, Château de Bellet covers 10 hectares of organically farmed vineyards, with natural grass cover, organic fertilizers and rigorous tillage. Likewise, no herbicides or insecticides are used.

The Château de Bellet vineyards are located between 200 and 300 meters above sea level, and benefit from generous sunshine (2,700 hours per year). The breath of the sea and alpine winds provides the slow ripening process necessary for the freshness and elegance of Château de Bellet wines, giving them an almost northern character. The unique soil is pudding: Pliocene pebbles and very light sand with a few clay veins running through it.
