Château Barbanau
Château Barbanau is a family estate now run by Sophie Cerciello and her husband Didier Simonini. It extends over 20 hectares in the extreme west of the Côtes de Provence appellation, on a terroir combining clay and limestone, on the slopes of a hill overlooking the sea.

The family's winegrowing history began in 1900, when Emile Bodin, the family's great-grandfather, chose to become a winemaker in Cassis. He created the Clos Val Bruyère vineyard. In 1989, the family acquired Château Barbanau, whose cellar had been abandoned and the entire harvest sold to the cooperative since 1960. The entire Château Barbanau estate was restored, and the first vintage was produced the same year.

Clos Val Bruyère is a 7.5-hectare parcel of land bearing the imprint of Emile Bodin, in the heart of the Cassis vineyards. The Clos Val Bruyère and Kalahari cuvées were born from this exceptional terroir, a blend of sea, earth and sun. Since 2008, the entire Château Barbanauvineyard has been cultivated using certified organic methods, and certified biodynamic methods since the 2018 vintage.

"A Must in limited quantities!"

A blend of equal parts Clairette, Marsanne and Sauvignon, this cuvée is the culmination of research inspired by southern Africa. A beautiful interpretation of the Cassis terroir, it's a testament to the domaine's expertise. Complex aromas of yellow fruit (citron, pineapple), fine oak, floral touches and a rich mouthfeel. A cuvée for the table, to accompany fine dishes such as scallops with saffron.

Et Cae Terra is a lively, slender rosé made from Grenache grapes, with a hint of Syrah. Matured in the sun of Provence, it reveals greedy notes of berries, white flowers, peach skin, pastry notes... Round with a hint of saltiness, it surprises with great length and finesse.

In white, L'Instant shines with both liveliness and freshness, particularly appreciated in summertime. Produced from organically grown grapes, like all the estate's cuvées, it expresses aromas of grapefruit, pear and pineapple. The red thread of the domaine, its finesse deserves to be highlighted. To be savored with relish!
