Marcel Richaud Estate
Marcel Richaud is a well-known figure in his hometown of Cairanne. Above all, he is a passionate and rigorous winemaker, relentlessly searching for the best way to produce wines that best express their terroir. A challenge that has been crowned with success for many years now, as the cuvées of Domaine Marcel Richaud are true benchmarks that are refined vintage after vintage.

This is the result of Domaine Marcel Richaud's rigorous work, both in the vineyard and in the cellar, both carried out with a natural approach, to deliver authentic cuvées. Thanks to the quality of its wines, Domaine Marcel Richaud is a key estate in the Cairanne appellation and in the southern Rhône Valley.

Today, the new generation has taken up the torch, led by Claire and Thomas Richaud and recently joined by Edith, the youngest daughter. Following in Marcel Richaud's footsteps, the entire team continues the work already accomplished. Additional vineyards have been purchased, and the estate has been certified organic. A highly recommended address in the Rhône Valley!

"Voted best red wine by the experts at 60 millions de consommateurs".

A solar Côtes-du-Rhône made by Claire and Thomas, Marcel Richaud's children, from grapes selected from the new terroirs acquired by the RICHAUD family. After 5 years of care, the young Grenaches replanted in 2017, bring a lovely fruitiness. They have been blended with old Carignan for concentration and a little Syrah for spice. With lovely fruit and roundness, this traditional cuvée honors southern Côtes-du-Rhône.

"From its black color to its full, fleshy palate, this wine is simply impressive". (Bettane & Desseauve - Le Grand Guide des Vins de France 2010). A parcel-based cuvée from the estate,Ebrescade benefits from both the age of its vines and its excellent exposure on the high slopes between Cairanne and Rasteau at an altitude of 240 meters. 2007 is expressive on the nose and palate, with a round, silky style and a spicy finish.
