"Châteauneuf du Pape lovers must have this bottle in their cellar!
What a beautiful Châteauneuf du Pape! A sublime aromatic palette that augurs well for the 2021 vintage. In its youth, this cuvée highlights notes of spice, ripe fruit and vanilla. The length is magnificent, with an appreciable salinity and suavity. For sure, it's a wine to have in the cellar and even to forget, to rediscover in a few years' time!

Alain Jaume - Grand Veneur
Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (2020 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, in line with what one has the right to expect from its appellation(s))
About the domain :
A key figure in Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Tavel, Alain Jaume's family runs a top-quality wine merchant business, as well as owning fine vineyards in Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Côtes du Rhône. Their main source of pride is the grand-veneur wine, a classic Châteauneuf. Clos de Sixte, the family estate in Tavel, offers a fine image of the cru, while in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the cuvée de vieilles-vignes is one of the appellation's finest wines. The estate's destiny is being brilliantly assured by Alain Jaume's children.
Guide Hachette des vins
Domaine noté (guide 2022) Award-winning wines (The wines of this producer are regularly awarded by the guide)
About the domain :
Of Castelpapal origin, Alain Jaume and his sons, Sébastien and Christophe, perpetuate a winegrowing tradition that dates back to 1826. They manage a 155-hectare organic vineyard spread over 4 estates: Grand Veneur in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Clos de Sixte in Lirac, Ch. Mazane in Vacqueyras, and Dom. la Grangette Saint-Joseph in AOC Côtes-du-Rhône, all complemented by a trading activity. A sure bet.
Guide des Vins Gault & Millau
