About the domain :

The 30-hectare estate is divided into two parts, in the communes of Saint-Laurent-des-Arbres and Lirac. On the right bank of the Rhône, the terroir is made up of rolled pebbles, on soils that are first clay-limestone, then sandy. Since the estate was founded, the Duseigneur family has always cultivated its land naturally, respecting the nature of the soil as much as possible, and today practices biodynamic viticulture. The different cuvées all have a serious structure and are often quite closed in their youth. The domaine also produces a second range under the domaine-de-mayran brand. We note that recent vintages have gained in finesse and texture, certainly the result of their recent collaboration with oenologist Philippe Cambie.

About the wine:

The 2018 Châteauneuf du Pape Catarina certified organic and biodynamic is composed of 90% Grenache and 10% Syrah, from the Colombis, Bois de la Ville and Grand Devès lieux-dits. Fermented in vats and aged in older demi-muids, it reveals a vibrant nose of raspberry and cherry, underlined by notes of garrigue and crushed stone. Medium to full-bodied, it's ripe and silky but not overly rich, making it easy to pair with a meal.
