"Not made entirely from estate vines (it's simply labeled Les Remizières), the 2019 Cornas is an impenetrable shade of violet in the glass. A little cedary and toasty on the nose, it's firm and stony on the palate, with plenty of structure and backbone. Full-bodied, it delivers black cherry fruit, crushed stone and baking spice notes and finishes with dusty tannins. Give it another year or two, then drink it over the next decade." (Wine Advocate 2021). A great bottle for you and your cellar!

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (guide 2021) 2*Stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more regular and homogeneous than the previous one)
About the domain :
Philippe Desmeure and his daughter Émilie have developed this family estate to 30 hectares of vines. Vinification and ageing in wood produce cuvées with a habitually caressing mouthfeel. The estate shows great consistency in both colors, vintage after vintage. Good 2017.
Guide Hachette des vins
Domaine noté (guide 2023) Award-winning wines (The wines of this producer are regularly awarded by the guide)
About the domain :
Until 1973, Alphonse Desmeure brought his harvest to the cooperative. His son Philippe developed the estate from 1977 onwards, introducing bottled production and expanding the vineyard: 36 hectares today, spread over several communes. Émilie and Christophe, his children, have now joined the estate. An essential benchmark, with wines of rare consistency.
