Domaine des Remizières
Visit Domaine de Remizières has been a family business from father to son for three generations. Today, the vineyard covers 30 hectares, spread over several communes including Mercurol, Crozes-Hermitage and Tain l'Ermitage.

Visit Domaine de Remizières is now run by Philippe Desmeure, and the vineyard is managed with respect for the terroirs, applying an environmentally-friendly approach and rigorous monitoring throughout the year. All these efforts enable the wines of Domaine de Remizières to rank among the very best in the region.

"A Crozes-Hermitage with character that ticks all the right boxes!

Framed by notes of spices, licorice, cherries and black olives, this Crozes-Hermitage was aged in demi-muids. Full-bodied and supple on the palate, with an opulent, persistent finish. An aromatic, round Crozes-Hermitage that goes equally well with white and red meats.

"Crozes-Hermitage haute couture!

"In both red and white, this cuvée is a regular Favorites in the Guide. This year, it's the red, which the jury praised for its captivating intensity and deep, slightly candied bouquet of black fruits (blackberry, blueberry, cherry), enhanced by notes of pine resin and clove and luxurious oak (70% new barrels). He also liked its sumptuous palate, both dense and suave, with mellow tannins and a greedy, ripe fruitiness underscored by a discreet licorice bitterness. Vigorous and full of sap, this hand-sewn Crozes is not afraid of the future". (Le Guide Hachette 2025)

"A successful and beautifully balanced gastronomic white".

In its brilliant gold color, the wine has a seductive bouquet with notes of caramelized peach, brioche, white flowers and honeysuckle. It's a full-bodied, complex wine, well-structured and pleasant, with excellent acidity. Don't forget to cellar a few bottles for two to four years to enjoy again later.

"Marsanne full of gourmandise and charm".

The expected aromas of white fruits such as pear and white flowers can be detected. The woodiness is not very pronounced, and enhances the marsanne in a gourmet mouthfeel with a fresh finish.

"Very great red wine".

With its deep color, Cuvée Émilie is a full-bodied, broad-shouldered yet supple Hermitage. Its precise structure and long, tactile finish never cease to impress. A racy cuvée to be cellared for five years, then enjoyed for at least a decade.

One of the noblest appellations in the Northern Rhône, this white Hermitage is a pretty yellow with golden highlights. Very fat on the palate, with great finesse and length, the wine will take on a touch of honey after a few years. Sumptuous!

"A superb achievement, the 2019 Cuvée Hermitage Emilie Blanc - composed almost entirely of Marsanne from the Maison Blanche lieu-dit - sports scents of crushed stone, pencil shavings and ripe melon. Full-bodied, expansive and mellow on the palate, it showcases the power of white Hermitage without being overpowering, and finishes long, with robust licorice notes adding a refreshing note. Drink it now or forget it for a decade and drink it from 2031 to 2040." (Wine Advocate 2021)

"A beautiful emotion

"A blend of red raspberries and black olives appears on the nose of Saint Joseph 2019, along with notes of violets and baking spices. On the palate, it's medium- to full-bodied, with a fine, silky feel that builds to a lingering finish of licorice and cedar." (Wine Advocate 2021)

"Not made entirely from estate vines (it's simply labeled Les Remizières), the 2019 Cornas is an impenetrable shade of violet in the glass. A little cedary and toasty on the nose, it's firm and stony on the palate, with plenty of structure and backbone. Full-bodied, it delivers black cherry fruit, crushed stone and baking spice notes and finishes with dusty tannins. Give it another year or two, then drink it over the next decade." (Wine Advocate 2021). A great bottle for you and your cellar!

Domaine des Remizières - Autrement 2015

93/100 Robert Parker

"1,200 bottles of Crozes-Hermitage Autrement 2015 were produced. It presents notes of cedar on a dense fruitiness of black cherry and plum. Full-bodied, rich, velvety and long, it displays extraordinary concentration and power for a Crozes-Hermitage, almost in excess but well within the limit." (Wine Advocate 2017 - Robert Parker)
