Hachette
"Best selling Côtes du Rhône in 7 vintages!
"Born of 40-year-old vines and a clay-limestone matrix with rolled pebbles, this Grenache-Syrah duo in equal measure makes a stunning wine, full of nuances, from the shimmering carmine-red color to the bouquet, which happily blends iris, crushed raspberry and truffle notes. Tactfully extracted, soberly matured in vats, it restores the same freshness on the palate, with just the right amount of volume and structure, culminating in a long, liquorice finish. About the wine:
From 40-year-old vines planted on a clay-limestone matrix with rounded pebbles, this Grenache-Syrah parity produces a stunning, nuanced wine, from its shimmering crimson-red color to its bouquet of iris, crushed raspberry and truffle notes. Tactfully extracted and soberly matured in vats, it delivers the same freshness on the palate, with just the right amount of volume and structure, culminating in a long, southern licorice finish.
About the domain :
Established at the foot of the Notre-Dame-de-Grâce sanctuary in Rochefort-du-Gard, not far from the ancient marshes drained by the monks in the Middle Ages, this estate, born in 1994 from the merger of three small holdings, has shown great consistency in its quality. Succeeding his parents Jean-Pierre and Dominique, Romain Dubois and his wife Laure, now alone at the head of the estate, have created a new winery and converted the 20 ha of vines to organic farming.

Paarsrode kleur. Score: 15+/20
