Bettane & Desseauve
Domain Noted Selected (An estate or house that has seduced us with one or more wines from its production, without us being able to give a general opinion on the style of the entire range)
About the domain :
The success of the estate shows the potential of this sector of the southern Ardèche, which has long been too little known and is now gaining in reputation and quality. On terroirs of rounded pebbles, at the confluence of the Rhône and Ardèche rivers, the vines of Mas de Libian, cultivated biodynamically, produce wines of surprising purity of fruit, sincerity and concentration, while remaining fresh.

A pleasure CDR, "natural" and well-aged, with no fuss or muss. Expressive, undeniably full-bodied but without excess, given that fruit is the watchword for this cuvée with already polished, velvety tannins. Lovely round finish underlined by a "bout z'an". Suitable for ageing. Good, even very good RQ/P. Score 3.8. Decant 1 hour before serving to soften the muscular character of this cuvée, at a serving temperature of 16° and not 14° as recommended by the producers, with a meal among friends, such as a Drôme Provençale lamb roulade with chard and rosemary.
