Duchy of Uzès
Created in 2013, the Duchy of Uzès belongs to the Rhône wine region. The Duché D'Uzès appellation covers 285 hectares, spread over 77 communes. Some forty winemakers produce the nectar of Duché d'Uzès, which comes in 3 colors: 58% red, 25% white and 17% rosé.

The Duché d'Uzès vineyards are mainly planted on clay-limestone soils. It covers the hillside plots along the garrigue. The geology reveals a variety of formations such as sandstone, marl, pebbles, ancient alluvium, hard limestone...

The red wines are colorful, aromatic, spicy and fruity, often with hints of licorice, pepper and aromatic herbs reminiscent of the surrounding garrigue. The grape varieties are Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault and Carignan.
Duché d'Uzès white wines reveal the complexity of their blend (Viognier, Grenache blanc, Roussanne, Marsanne, Vermentino): aromas of almond, dried fruit and flowers. Tasting is rich and full-flavored, with a fresh finish.

"The red range begins with the classic Esus, Duché d'Uzès 2016 composed largely of Syrah but also Grenache (30%), Cinsault (15%) and Carignan (10%). Notes of green pepper, plums, blackberries and undergrowth give a fleshy, concentrated wine with a lovely texture. 2016 is full of charm." (Jeb Dunnuck 2017)

A Rhône blend par excellence, Duché d'Uzès blanc reveals intense apricot aromas nuanced by subtle notes of exotic fruit. Sunny and well-balanced, the palate asserts itself with ripe notes in a rounded style. Slightly iodized on the finish, we love its freshness!

The deliciousness of Grenache and the freshness of Cinsault combine in this rosé cuvée. Intense strawberry and citrus aromas are enhanced by more floral notes, notably violets. A rosé full of freshness!
