"All the charm of the southern Rhône!
"This half-grenache, half-syrah wine is immediately accessible, with clean, elegant, open fruit (plum) and good concentration, fullness and silkiness on the palate. The already mellow woodiness with its mocha notes mingles nicely with the macerated red berries, prolonging the pleasure on the finish." (Le Guide Hachette 2024)

Domaine noté (guide 2020) Sélectionné (An estate or house that has won us over with one or more wines from its production, without us being able to give a general opinion on the style of the entire range)
About the domain :
For four generations, this estate has grown from strength to strength. Today, it owns 78 hectares, mainly in the Drôme provençale region, around Grignan and Vinsobres. Consistent in quality, the wines express their terroirs beautifully, thanks to controlled barrel ageing. The wines of the Grignan-les-Adhémar appellation are among the region's finest examples. Note the beautiful homogeneity of the samples tasted over the 2017 and 2018 vintages.

About the domain :
Since 1987, brothers Jean-Luc and Claude Monteillet, who are also truffle growers, have been operating this 70-hectare family estate, which is highly regarded for its Grignan-les-Adhémar wines and also produces Vinsobres and IGP. Organic conversion is underway.

A delight It seems light but it has body, fruit and little tannin. We loved it.
