"The aromatic palette opens up with red berries and spices; a nose with more freshness than the 2020. The palate is also less carried away by alcohol and richness. Logically, this aromatic freshness is seductive for this appellation, but the tannic structure, on the other hand, is more prominent". (Le Guide RVF 2024)

RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Wine rated (guide 2024) 90/100
Domaine rated (guide 2023) 3*Stars (They represent the excellence of the French vineyard. The best terroirs cultivated by the greatest winemakers. Tasting their wines is always a magical experience)
About the wine:

About the domain :
Despite its name, this estate is very fragmented, covering just about every soil type in the appellation. Traditionally made, Châteauneuf-du-Pape reds are often reserved in their youth. They are built to reveal themselves over time. For several vintages now, Thierry Sabon has brought finesse and refinement to the entire range, from the simple Côtes-du-Rhône to the grand cuvée of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. We've been following this estate's progress for many years. At ten years of age, the wines express themselves with grace. At twenty, they reach a new milestone, revealing their true potential: their aromas of truffle, undergrowth and fruit infused by time are fully appreciated. Châteauneuf-du-Pape blanc is spirited and distinguished. In good vintages, the estate offers the Cuvée du Papet, dense and deep, built for ageing and often reaching exceptional levels. All our wines have great ageing potential.

About the wine:
Although it has dark aromas of black olive and dried herbs, it also offers good red cherry fruit. Well-structured without being particularly dry or tannic on the medium- to full-bodied palate. Enough acidity to keep it light. The generous finish has a licorice character.
