This cuvée is based on a majority of old Grenache, selected from the estate's oldest vines and produced in small quantities. Excellent ripeness and low production yield a concentration of aromas centered on stewed black fruits. On the palate, this wine is dense and deeply textured. The finish lingers on notes of cocoa, leather and spices. Don't miss it!

About the domain :
Serge Férigoule is a key figure in the Vacqueyras appellation, and his wines are an integral part of its history. Originally a vineyard worker, he has been the owner of Sang des Cailloux since 1990. Some twenty hectares scattered between Vacqueyras and Sarrians are harvested at perfect ripeness and aged for a long time. In an uncompromising style that almost turns its back on modernity, this domaine produces five red cuvées, whose concentration and delicate touch would benefit from greater aromatic precision. A hint of progress and the blood of the stones will continue to run down the throats of many wine-lovers!

About the domain :
This beautiful Vacqueyras estate boasts a magnificent terroir on a plateau of rolled pebbles. Certified organic since 2010, and biodynamic since 2012, with strictly controlled yields, the estate produces imposing Vacqueyras that need time to reveal themselves: these are often highly structured, rich wines, with high maturities, even if, in recent vintages, they have tended to become more refined. Cuvée Lopy is the estate's richest, densest wine; in certain vintages, we prefer the balance of the entry-level wines. The white is establishing itself as an attractive benchmark in the sector.
