"Made from a small parcel of old vines, the 2016 Ventoux is a tremendous success. Aged in concrete tanks, it has a rich, concentrated, velvety texture and ripe aromas of plum and stone fruit. The finish is long and tinged with garrigue. A very good value to buy by the case." (Wine Advocate - Robert Parker)

About the wine:
From a small parcel of old vines, the 2016 Ventoux is a tremendous success. Aged in concrete tanks, it has a rich, concentrated, velvety texture and ripe aromas of plum and stone fruit. The finish is long and tinged with garrigue. Great value for money to buy by the case, if you can find it.

Excellent value for money. Less powerful than a Chateauneuf du Pape, of course, but just as fine and elegant.

No pleasure where is the fruit it's flat.

Not bad, but very disappointed by this wine, which I found rather flat. The nose is pleasant, but on the palate the promises are not there.

Ripe red and black fruit on the nose, with a hint of southern spice. The palate is immediately powerful yet balanced, with aromas similar to those of the nose. The tannins are in the process of rounding off, but given the wine's concentration, they are not yet exhausted. You can feel the Chateauneuf maker's touch! Can be aged for another 2-3 years.

Has lost some of its sparkle, but still a pleasure. To drink

A treat for a wine at this price level. Fruity, sweet and strong at the same time.

Negociant wine from a major producer. Not bad, but nothing like the original.
