Bettane & Desseauve
Wine rated (2024 guide) 92/100
About wine:
With more animalistic, gamey nuances than the Oriental, the more pronounced contribution of Carignan is recognizable. A beautiful palette of flavors for this complex and deep wine.

Wine rated (2024 guide) 92/100
Rated estate (2023 guide) 2 stars (These very large estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About wine:
An extra touch of refinement for Barlande, which transports us with notes of thyme and rosemary. The palate is slender and delicious with a lovely spicy finish.
About the estate:
Returning to the family estate in 1984, the Parcé brothers first made their mark by producing fortified Banyuls wines from vintage grapes (ready to drink young), to which they brought a previously unknown precision of flavor and aromatic intensity. Jean-Emmanuel, who arrived in 2010, embodies the family's renewal. He has reduced the size of the vineyard to 34 hectares of this highly fragmented plot (50 parcels). The vineyard enjoys varied sun exposure and altitudes. He has taken on the challenge of organic farming in this arid landscape, which lives to the rhythm of the sea. The dry whites and reds are now among the benchmarks, with frank and intense expressions. We salute the exceptional consistency of the range, in all three colors, as in VDN, and it is therefore logical that it should regain its second star.
