A number of very successful vintages from this cooperative, a key player in this appellation due to its size and local influence. While we wait for a new generation of winemakers to do even more justice to the terroir, let's salute the almost unrivalled value for money.

About the wine:

Dominated by Grenache Noir and matured in vats, this little gem is full of fresh fruit. Blackcurrant buds dominate the nose, while the rich, round, fresh palate evokes ripe, tasty black cherries and a spicy finish.

About the domain :

Founded in 1910, the Maury cooperative winery is the oldest still in operation in the department. After the winegrowers' revolts of 1907, it brought together over 130 owners. Today, the cellar has 870 hectares of its members' land at its disposal, and makes its living from the Grenache grapes that produce the traditional vins doux naturels and, since 2011, dry maury.

About the wine:

A voluminous, juicy blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Carignan, Tradition Schiste 2017 should be consumed in the short term. It's full-bodied, creamy and supple, with ultra-ripe notes of cherry, stone fruit and chocolate, as well as high alcohol and warmth to match.

Very good estate with solid, fragrant wines, one of the most modest!!!imagine their higher-end wines....cave a must-see!
