From beautiful limestone scree terroirs, this Gamay is a well-structured, brilliant ruby to deep red wine. Its fruity, persistent aromas are reminiscent of strawberry and raspberry. Over time, it may develop animal notes. Let yourself be tempted by its easy-drinking character, but also by its substance and solidity, making it an ideal wine to accompany all your aperitifs and meals. A low price that's making a name for itself.

André and Michel Quenard Estate
Savoie
Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated 2*Stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more regular and homogeneous than the previous one)
About the domain :
This 28-hectare estate has long been run by André and Michel. Michel's son Guillaume joined in 2009. The estate is located on the steep slopes of Torméry, south of Chignin. It was the grandfather who led its replanting in the 1950s. The estate avoids herbicides as much as possible, but cannot work all its plots by hand. Guillaume is trying his hand at organic farming on the two and a half hectares he took over to create the Côteau de Torméry estate. He is also experimenting with ageing in foudres or stoneware. A wide, coherent range with promising innovations.
Guide Hachette des vins
Domaine noté (guide 2024) Award-winning wines (The wines of this producer are regularly awarded by the guide)
About the domain :
Michel Quénard took over the family domaine, founded by his grandparents, in 1976. His son Guillaume joined him in 2009, after studying at the Lycée Viticole de Beaune and then at the Changins engineering school in Switzerland, and has since taken the helm of one of Savoie's most renowned estates, with a very consistent quality in both red and white wines.
