"Noble grape variety, wine of character
A noble grape variety, Mondeuse leaves no one indifferent when tasted in its first spring. It enthralls some and ruffles the sensibilities of others, shaking up the taste buds with its structure and tannins. If you can forget about it, even if only for a year, it softens to reveal its charms and velvety texture. Its mountain image is transformed into an invigorating, seductive beverage, with aromas of raspberry and blueberry, a peppery flavor and a bouquet of autumn flowers.

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated 2*Stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more regular and homogeneous than the previous one)
About the domain :
This 28-hectare estate has long been run by André and Michel. Michel's son Guillaume joined in 2009. The estate is located on the steep slopes of Torméry, south of Chignin. It was the grandfather who led its replanting in the 1950s. The estate avoids herbicides as much as possible, but cannot work all its plots by hand. Guillaume is trying his hand at organic farming on the two and a half hectares he took over to create the Côteau de Torméry estate. He is also experimenting with ageing in foudres or stoneware. A wide, coherent range with promising innovations.
Guide Hachette des vins
Wine rated 1*Star (Vintage 2020) (Very successful wine)
Domaine noté (guide 2024) Award-winning wines (The wines of this producer are regularly awarded by the guide)
About the domain :
Michel Quénard took over the family domaine, founded by his grandparents, in 1976. His son Guillaume joined him in 2009, after studying at the Lycée Viticole de Beaune and then at the Changins engineering school in Switzerland, and has since taken the helm of one of Savoie's most renowned estates, with a very consistent quality in both red and white wines.
