"A harmonious Roussanne
This golden, fat Grand Blanc has a juicy, fairly nervous texture. It asserts itself generously, recalling the unctuousness of ripe apricot. The expression of fruit is underscored by a saline finish. A Chignin Bergeron that combines great richness and freshness.

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domain rated (2020 guide) 2*Stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more regular and homogeneous than the previous one)
About the domain :
André and Daniel Genoux relaunched the family business in 2001. They bought and completely renovated the splendid 12th-century fortress that now serves as the winery. Wishing to reserve the Domain Genoux brand for mass distribution, they put the spotlight on Château de Mérande : 12 hectares between Saint-Jean-de-la-Porte and Apremont (most of which is in Arbin), well-calibrated, well-cared-for wines, with a focus on Mondeuses. In 2008, under the impetus of Yann Pernuit (the estate's partner for 10 years), the vineyard was converted to biodynamic viticulture, and the wines have progressed considerably, gaining in precision and depth. Intense and full-bodied, Mondeuses are wines to lay down.

About the domain :
In 2009, the entire estate (12 ha) was converted to biodynamic viticulture, and is now certified. Daniel Genoux and Yann Pernuit work mainly with roussette (1.2 ha) and arbin (4 ha).
RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Rated 15/20 (Vintage 2018) (Good wine)
Domaine rated (2022 guide) 1*Star (Stars in the making or quality winegrowers with a good level of production, you won't be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)
About the domain :
Committed to low yields and manual harvesting, brothers André and Daniel Genoux took over the buildings at Château de Mérande in 2001. Committed to biodynamic viticulture, this estate in the Arbin cru produces a wide range of wines from the surrounding hillside and glacial moraine soils. Mondeuse dominates production, occupying two-thirds of the vineyard area. Vinification is now carried out with indigenous yeasts and without sulfur, often with whole grapes. The cuvées Latitude N45, La Noire, Le Comte Rouge and La Belle Romaine brilliantly illustrate the current revival of the Savoyard vineyard and the immense potential of its emblematic red grape variety.
