Liqueur wine
Vin de liqueur is made from red or white grape varieties whose fermentation is interrupted by the addition of alcohol to preserve residual sugars.

Vins de liqueur (liqueur wines) are so-called mutés wines of the mistelle or vins de liqueur type, where the mutage is carried out before fermentation (or at the very beginning) using brandy. Examples include Pineau des Charentes, Floc de Gascogne and Macvin du Jura, which are made with eau-de-vie of the same origin as the grape must.

"A rare power, without any excessive heat, all volume and velvety. A very dense liqueur wine, highly qualitative in its concentration and length on coffee, prune, fig, tobacco, spices.... " (Les Meilleurs Vins de France 2012 - Gault Millau). A fine, concentrated wine, a very fine bottle!
