"A jewel in a bottle
"Sweet, concentrated, honeyed flavors are lifted by acidity and fragrances of pear and apricot. This wine has as much freshness as sweetness. Light to the touch, it's ready and immediately delicious." ( Wine Enthusiast 2019 ) Ranked in the TOP 100 of Wine Enthusiast magazine's 2019 selection!

Clos Lapeyre
Jurançon
Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Rated 16/20 (Very good wine)
About the wine:
Over the past few years, we've become accustomed to the estate's singular Jurançons, marked by a rare purity of fruit, infused with notes of cooked fruit and spices. The palate is very natural, with a lively, sparkling finish.
Guide Hachette des vins
Wine rated (2019 guide) 1*Star (Very successful wine)
About the wine:
The Petit Manseng used to make this golden-yellow mellow wine was vinified and aged for twelve months in oak. This time in oak has given it a complex palette, blending pineapple and other exotic fruits with honey and toasted almonds. Round in the attack, the palate follows the same aromatic line, carried by a tonic vivacity that underlines the toasty finish.
RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Wine rated (2020 guide) 15/20 (Good wine)
Domaine rated (2024 guide) 1*Star (Stars in the making or quality winegrowers with a good level of production, you won't be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)
About the wine:
In this perfectly balanced vintage, here's a well-made, luminous Jurançon that plays on creamy quince in the mid-palate and the delicate vivacity of Petit Manseng on the finish. The longer, lemony finish adds charm to the whole.
About the domain :
Jean-Bernard Larrieu consistently produces Jurançons, both dry and sweet, of the highest quality. The dry wines are offered with a commendable touch of evolution, and are a faithful expression of the terroirs of this region. The mellow wines, always of fine stature, bear witness to a real mastery of balance. A benchmark domaine offering classic, deep and powerful wines that deserve to be aerated to take advantage of their great scope.

Domain rated (guide 2023) Recommended (Wine producer recommended by Wine Enthusiast)
About the wine:
Sweet, concentrated, honeyed flavors are lifted by acidity and fragrances of pear and apricot. This wine is as fresh as it is smooth. Light to the touch, it's ready and immediately delicious. It can be drunk now, but will be better from 2020. - Ranked in the TOP 100 selection 2019
