"A lovely, deep garnet-red color dresses this wine with an intense nose of ripe blackcurrant and peppermint. A round attack opens onto a full, rich and dense palate, with ripe tannins that remain elegant and long-lasting." (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2019)

About the wine:
A lovely, deep garnet-red color dresses this wine with an intense nose of ripe blackcurrant and peppermint. A round attack opens onto a full, rich and dense palate, with ripe tannins that remain elegant and long-lasting.
About the domain :
Château d'Aydie is a family affair (and a sure bet): four Laplace children are now following in the footsteps of their grandfather Frédéric, who was one of the first to sell bottled Madiran, with the help of André Daguin, the famous Gascon chef. The 62-hectare farm has now been joined by a trading structure.
Wine Spectator
Rated (2020 guide) 92/100 (Outstanding wine)
Domaine noté (guide 2019) Recommended (wine producer recommended by Wine Spectator)
About the wine:
A concentrated wine, rich in both tannins and black plum flavors. Because these elements are balanced, the wine has a bright future. It will still be dense and structured, but with plenty of ripe fruit. Drink this wine from 2021.

a well-crafted madiran, I recommend it. quality-price ratio, given the exorbitant price of a decent product last few years.
