"A wine with a heady nose, reminiscent of stone fruit, cherry brandy, or plum brandy. On the palate, it is full-bodied, warm, and rich, but the tannins are already well integrated and the finish is balanced. A wine with character." (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2022)

About the estate:
Founded around 1850, this family estate has been passed down through six generations. Following in the footsteps of his father Louis, Didier Barré, who took over in 1983, contributed to the revival of Madiran, of which he was one of the standard-bearers. In 2017, sisters Claire and Marion Bortolussi (daughters of Alain Bortolussi of Ch. Viella) took over the reins of this flagship 25-hectare estate, forming a partnership with wine merchant Lionel Osmin to manage the estate and market its wines. The conversion to organic farming began in 2020.
