Plaimont
André Dubosc, along with several other winemakers, created the cooperative union in 1979. Plaimont ("Pl" for Plaisance, "Ai" for Aignan and "Mont" for Saint-Mont), with a view to developing the IGP Côtes de Gascogne appellation and relaunching the Saint-Mont appellation. 20 years later, the Condom winery, another emblematic winery of the region, joined the adventure.

Today, Plaimont has become the leader in South-Western wines, covering 98% of Saint-Mont (red, white and rosé), 55% of Madiran and Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh and almost 50% of Côtes de Gascogne. At Plaimont, 800 winegrowing families look after 5300 hectares of vines.

Complex and unsuspected, the nose of L'Empreinte de Saint-Mont rouge 2019 reveals aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry and other black fruits, with spicy notes. Melted and elegant, the palate is structured and round, with controlled tannins and a peppery finish. Ideal with duck breast with crème de cassis!
