Domaine Jean-Marie Haag
In the heart of the Vallée Noble, 20 km south of Colmar, the Domaine Jean-Marie Haag is run by Jean-Marie and Myriam Haag since 1988. The vineyards of Domaine Jean-Marie Haag lies at the foot of the Vosges mountains, protected from the weather by the hills of the Petit and Grand Ballon d'Alsace. The vines are planted on steep slopes, up to 40%, for optimum sunshine. The subsoil is predominantly limestone, with some areas of calcareous sandstone.

Domaine Jean-Marie Haag is certified HVE 3 (Haute Valeur Environnementale), a philosophy of vineyard management that results in partially tilled soil, natural grassing and preservation of the ecosystem.

"A mellow wine with a powerful structure and a scorching finish." (Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2019 - RVF) The Zinnkoepflé terroir means "head in the sun", a name explained by its altitude (422 m) and southern exposure. Here, Pinot Gris expresses its full range of aromas (brioche, white fruit, honey) and complexity. It is the very expression of the terroir.

It's truly gold flowing into the glass! A brilliant golden color, powerful, flattering aromas of spices (star anise), rose petal and exotic fruit exalt from the glass. The smooth, mellow palate bewitches with its remarkable length. All the charm of a Gewurztraminer Grand Cru.

"A confidential cuvée: 800 bottles. The wine has a "dry-tender" balance with toasty notes and yellow fruit aromas. Balanced, it is an ideal companion for the table." (Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2019 - RVF) A masterful vintage!
