Bodega Atamisque
"Atamisque"is a tree native to the Andes that grows spontaneously around the winery and has given its name to this estate in Mendoza's Uco Valley.

Owned by John and Chantal Du Monceau since 2006, Bodega Atamisque has 70 hectares of vines in production.

Bodega Atamisque produces mainly Malbec, but also Chardonnay, Viognier, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon and, rarer in Argentina, Cabernet Franc. Benefiting from a cooler climate due to the vineyard's altitude (1300m), and thanks to the use of high-quality French barrels, Bodega Atamisque wines are more European in style, favoring fruit expression over extraction and concentration.

"The Catalpa Malbec 2013 is fresh, floral and shows just a hint of spice (only 50% of the wine is barrel-aged). The palate is also fresh and shows good acidity and very fine tannins. A refined and pleasing Malbec, easy to drink and good value for money." (Wine Advocate 2015 - Robert Parker) A racy and very elegant Argentine Malbec!
