"Vineyard work, and in particular yield control, is one of Franck Chavy's leitmotivs. It will come as no surprise, therefore, to find that his wine is dense and deep, albeit with tannins that are still angular today, needing to be refined." (Le Guide Hachette des vins 2019)

About the wine:
One of Franck Chavy's leitmotivs is vineyard work, particularly yield control. So it's no surprise to find that his wine is dense and deep, with tannins that are still angular today and need to be refined.
About the domain :
Son and grandson of winegrowers, Franck Chavy set up in 1991 with a few hectares of Morgon. Through buyouts and sharecropping, he has expanded his estate to 9.5 ha, while at the same time making his mark in the Guide, where he is a sure bet. This success is undoubtedly due to his high vine density (10,000 vines/ha) and long maceration periods.
