"Complex notes of blackcurrant and blackberry enhanced with spices (Hachette)"

"The Lafont family cultivates no less than 8 hectares of this locality located at the easternmost point of the appellation. The grapes are partially destemmed before fermentation, producing a cuvée with complex notes of blackcurrant and blackberry enhanced by spices. This concentration is confirmed by a full-bodied, structured, harmonious palate with good length. (Le Guide Hachette 2025)

About wine:

The Lafont family cultivates no less than 8 hectares of this locality located at the easternmost edge of the appellation. The grapes are partially destemmed before fermentation, producing a cuvée with complex notes of blackcurrant and blackberry enhanced by spices. This concentration is confirmed by a full-bodied, structured, harmonious palate with good length.

About the estate:

Owned by the Lafont family for several generations, this property perched on the Bel-Air hill overlooks the Ardières valley: blue granite buildings constructed in 1849, vaulted cellars, and a 23-hectare vineyard with plots in five crus. At its helm since 1985, Jean-Marc Lafont has created a wine merchant business under his own name to complement his range.
