About the wine:

The Lafont family farms no less than 8 ha of this locality at the eastern end of the appellation. The grapes are partially de-stemmed before vatting, delivering a cuvée with complex notes of blackcurrant and blackberry enhanced by spices. This concentration is confirmed by an ample, structured, harmonious palate with good length.

About the domain :

In the Lafont family for several generations, this estate perched on Bel-Air hill overlooks the Ardières valley: blue granite buildings constructed in 1849, vaulted cellars and a 23 ha vineyard, with parcels in five crus. Jean-Marc Lafont has been at the helm of the estate since 1985, and has created a trading structure under his own name to complement his range.
