"The raw magenta of its color is matched by a pretty nose with a bouquet of magnolias. This fresh juice is extremely digestible and rather broad on the palate. A little ageing will take this chiroubles to the top of the appellation." (RVF Spécial Millésime 2015 - June 2016)

RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Wine rated (2016 guide) 15.5-16.5/20 (Very good wine)
Domain rated (guide 2022) Selected (We remind you that this guide is a prize list and as such, all the domains that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).
About the wine:
The raw magenta of its color is matched by a pretty nose with a bouquet of magnolias. This fresh juice is extremely digestible and rather broad on the palate. A little ageing will take this Chiroubles to the top of the appellation.
About the domain :
In the center of the village of Chiroubles, on the green balcony of the Beaujolais, sixth-generation Christophe farms 16.5 hectares, 14 of which are in his cru. Vinifying with (classic) semi-carbonic maceration, he de-stems parcels where the grapes are not yet ripe. He sells everything in the bottle, and at a fair price - the price at which chiroubles should be sold. We are surprised, however, by the stylistic differences in the range, noting irregularities in recent vintages.

1° in June 2017: beautiful nose with cherry and pepper finesse, good acidity and tight tannins that should go well with fat (charcuterie, red meats ... Decant.
