"On a 1.5-hectare blue schist terroir, the Gamays helped by the sunshine of the 2018 vintage have produced a rich, harmonious wine, but also with fine minerality. On the nose, a hint of spice mingles with notes of black and red fruit. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and perfectly balanced, revealing a wide range of aromas: fruity, floral (iris) and spicy. A great success. (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2021)

Winemaking
This wine is made from semi-carbonic fermentation of de-stemmed grapes during 11 to 12 days of vatting, at a temperature of between 28 and 31°C in order to extract the sweet tannins and bring out the minerality of this wine, which is typical of the Côtes de Brouilly terroir.

About the domain :
Didier Lagneau, the eighth generation, took over the family estate in 2018. He manages this estate, born from 4 ha of vines in the late 1970s and nestled in a quiet valley in Quincié. Today, the vineyard covers 19 ha. A (very) safe bet for Côte-de-Brouilly and Régnié.
