Did you know? Juliénas owes its name to Julius Caesar, who came to conquer the Beaujolais region and left conquered by Juliénas. No wonder, when you taste this wine fragrant with red fruits, pepper and mint, with a fruity mouth and elegant tannins... "A Julienas that opens with elegant aromas of red fruits, peony, menthol and spices. The palate is well-fruited, persistent and fleshy, backed by supple, fine tannins". About the wine:
A Julienas that opens with elegant aromas of red fruit, peony, menthol and spices. The palate is well-fruited, persistent and fleshy, backed by supple, fine tannins.
About the domain :
On the borders of Burgundy and Beaujolais, this château takes its name from Sieur Bonnet, alderman of the town of Mâcon, who built a manor house here in 1630, where Lamartine later stayed. Acquired by the Perrachon family in 1973, the estate comprises 22 ha of vines. Pierre-Yves Perrachon, head of the estate since 1988, was joined in 2013 by his daughter Charlotte, a nologue. He has also joined forces with a winegrower from the Mâconnais region to complete his operation with a trading structure, Bourgogne Sélect.
