"The Morgon Les Versauds 2013 has a bouquet of black cherry tinged with iodine scents that deserves a little more bottle to fully blossom. The palate is soft and ripe on the attack, with notes of black cherry and blackcurrant mixed with cedar, leading to a structured finish. Give it another 2-3 years in bottle, drinking through 2022." Guide Hachette des vins
Domaine noté (guide 2020) Award-winning wines (The wines of this producer are regularly awarded by the guide)
About the domain :
Winegrowers in Juliénas since the early 17th century, the Perrachon family bought Ch. de la Bottière in 1877, then Dom. des Perelles in Romanèche-Thorins (windmill). When Laurent Perrachon set up in 1989, he acquired Dom. des Mouilles, then parcels in Morgon, Fleurie and Saint-Amour: a total of 31 ha, with vines in six crus. With Maxime and Adrien, the new generation joined the domaine in 2016.

It's not enough to have a prestigious appellation, you have to know how to make wine.
