"Morgon Corcelette 2022 is made from grapes purchased from 60-year-old vines. This parcel suffered hail damage in June and was therefore completely destemmed. The bouquet is very pure, with aromas of black cherry, iodine and hints of strawberry cake. The palate is medium-bodied, with a slight grip and fairly mellow red fruit, but it's structured with a touch of clove and black pepper on the finish." (Vinous 2023)

Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (2023 guide) 4*Stars (Top-quality producers, the glories of French winegrowing)
About the domain :
This emblematic Beaujolais estate, as much for its history as for its reputation, shines in Morgon and throughout the Beaujolais region. The vineyard covers 13 hectares, including five on the Côte de Py. At the head of the domaine, Claude-Emmanuelle and her brother Louis-Benoît, renowned for their rigor and attention to detail, are the worthy successors of a tradition of excellence. The latest vintages, between finesse and delicacy, are always elegant.

Domain rated (guide 2023) 3*Stars (They represent the excellence of French vineyards. The best terroirs cultivated by the greatest winemakers. Tasting their wines is always a magical moment)
About the domain :
Anyone who has put their lips to a wine from the brotherly duo Claude-Emmanuelle and Louis-Benoît Desvignes has experienced a special emotion. Here, aesthetic research focuses on the fine expression of the lieux-dits (mainly in Morgon), the right substance according to the vintage and the capacity for ageing, resulting from attentive viticulture, sensitive vinification, far from dogma, and refined wood-free ageing. The third star has been pinned to the estate's jacket for several years now, and given the consistency and coherence of the range, we're guessing it will remain there for many years to come.
