Son of Jean-Paul Thévenet, Charly became an outstanding winemaker when he set up his own estate in Régnié in 2007. Following in his family's footsteps, he creates exemplary cuvées for our enjoyment, offering here a satiny Régnié with an elegant, fine profile. His work in biodynamic viticulture, respectful of the terroir, takes on its full meaning in this Régnié roi, which touches us with its intense, pure fruitiness. A choice cuvée, far from the usual, to surprise and delight at the table.

About the domain :
This is the estate of Jean-Paul Thévenet's son, Charly, who bought vines in Régnié a few years ago and released his first vintage in 2007. Biodynamic viticulture, late harvesting, gentle maceration and low sulfur dioxide levels during aging in old barrels are the order of the day. The style is elegant and delicate, emphasizing charm and aromatic complexity over brute force, and the wines tend to age gracefully.

Well, definitely not. There's fruit on the first sip just after opening, but then it all disappears and the longer you wait, the worse it tastes, unlike other natural or low-sulfite wines. Frankly, I'm not at all happy with the advice given by the site, with praise that bears no relation to the quality of what I tasted.
