Produced from the oldest plots and aged in oak, this cuvée offers great aromatic complexity, supported by a firm yet silky structure. The palate is full-bodied, long and fresh. This is a great Régnié that can be enjoyed immediately. It's fruity, but will reveal many other facets over the course of its twenty years or so of cellaring. A great success!

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domain rated (guide 2024) 3*Stars (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)
About the domain :
Cédric Lecareux and his wife Catherine gave birth to Domaine de Capréoles in July 2014 with three hectares of adjoining vines, an area added to by two hectares two years later. From beaujolais-villages to cru régnié, everything is recommendable, with, it seems to us, more refined maturation. A fine address.

About the domain :
Cédric Lecareux - who arrived from Languedoc-Roussillon, where he worked at domains for the Gérard Bertrand group - and his wife, originally from Beaujolais, bought this 250-year-old estate in 2014. They cultivate 8 hectares of organic vines, planted like a garden around the property, with an exceptional view of the two bell towers of Régnié-Durette.

About the domain :
Cédric Lecareux is one of those neo-winemakers who are making a difference in Beaujolais. Technical director of a major Languedoc wine merchant for six harvests, he settled in Régnié with his wife Catherine, an agricultural engineer like himself, on an abandoned estate. As soon as they arrived, in 2014, they committed to organic certification, confirmed in 2017. Adhering to the maxim "The rule is that there are no rules", they adapt the de-stemming and ageing process each year.
