Château Potensac
Château Potensac is located in Ordonnac, a village in the Médoc region of Bordeaux. Château Potensac wines are produced under the Médoc AOC label. Today, Château Potensac is owned by the Delon family, who also own other estates in the Bordeaux region, including Château Léoville Las Cases in the Saint-Julien appellation and Château Nénin in Pomerol.

The Château Potensac vineyard covers more than 55 hectares of Garonne gravel and clay-limestone soils. The vines are 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc, with an average age of 35 years.

The Château Potensac estate also produces a second wine: La Chapelle de Potensac, which is a perfect introduction to the exceptional quality of Château Potensac's first wine. The latter has been classified Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel and remains the only one to have achieved this distinction in the Médoc appellation.

"A 2nd wine that is pleasant to drink or to keep!"

"What a fresh, fruity bouquet, with nuances of red berries and licorice. Right from the start, this wine makes you want to drink it. Its sapid, digestible and juicy character on the palate also contributes to this". (Yves Beck 2021) - The Delon family, head of the famous Châteaux Léoville Las Cases, Clos du Marquis and Nénin, also manages the Potensac estate in the Médoc AOC. Thanks to their unrivalled expertise, their wines offer excellent consistency and value for money. As witnessed by Chapelle de Potensac 2019, a 2nd wine that's accessible and tasty!

"A fine example of the Médoc character!

"So much identity in Potensac! We're in the Médoc, with this varietal freshness and then this well-established character, through precise, powerful but not demonstrative tannins. The tannins provide a good foundation for the whole palate, while the acid structure adds temperament. A wine that combines vigor and harmony". (Yves Beck 2022) - Delivery in wooden cases possible for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (depending on country and shipping method selected).

" Very elegant and complex nose, finely fruity and floral, peppery touches, ample palate, with pure fruit, very fresh tannins and persistence. Harmonious, energetic, long, tasty and balanced ". (Le Guide des Vins Bettane & Desseauve) The straightforwardness of the fine Cabernet is finely coated here by the fruit of the Merlot. The whole is well balanced and plays a superbly fleshy score. Very bright! Delivery in wooden cases for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (excluding Point Relais delivery method).

More Provençal than Bordeaux in hue, Le Rosé de Potensac reveals aromas of flowers, white cherry, vine peach and citrus. Supported by well-integrated acidity, it is juicy, precise and very pure. Enjoy it on its own as an aperitif, or with shellfish, fresh fish or grilled meats...

"La Chapelle de Potensac 2007 is a highly seductive Medoc, with an open nose of plums, boxwood, fresh blackcurrants and even a hint of menthol. The structure on the palate is suave, the tannins supple and easy to drink. (Les Meilleurs Vins de France 2012 - Gault & Millau)
