In the Middle Ages, Château Poujeaux was a Seigneurie dependent on Latour Saint-Mambert, the future Château Latour. In the 19th century, the Château Poujeaux estate produced its first Bordeaux wines and became truly independent. Throughout the 20th century, the Theil family presided over the destiny and renown of Château Poujeaux, until Philippe Cuvelier and his son Matthieu, already owners of Château Clos Fourtet, took over in 2008, injecting new energy and bringing to this Moulis-en-Médoc vineyard the benefits of numerous investments and a first-rate team.
