Château Poujeaux
In the Middle Ages, Château Poujeaux was a Seigneurie dependent on Latour Saint-Mambert, the future Château Latour. In the 19th century, the Château Poujeaux estate produced its first Bordeaux wines and became truly independent. Throughout the 20th century, the Theil family presided over the destiny and renown of Château Poujeaux, until Philippe Cuvelier and his son Matthieu, already owners of Château Clos Fourtet, took over in 2008, injecting new energy and bringing to this Moulis-en-Médoc vineyard the benefits of numerous investments and a first-rate team.

Château Poujeaux 's vineyards stretch across the gravelly hilltops of Grand-Poujeaux, northeast of Moulis. The grape varieties are mainly Cabernet-Sauvignon and Merlot, complemented by Cabernet-Franc and Petit-Verdot. The most meticulous care is given to harvesting, grape selection and sorting, vinification and ageing of Château Poujeaux vintages. Produced in the Moulis-en-Médoc appellation, Château Poujeaux is accompanied by a second wine from the same appellation: La Salle de Poujeaux and a cru in the Haut-Médoc appellation: Haut de Poujeaux.

"A reliable, unflappable, chiselled Poujeaux ready to defy the years to come! ~ Yves Beck "

"Poujeaux is very faithful to its style and distinguishes itself by the consistency of its quality. The integration of wood is perfectly mastered, increasing complexity. Poujeaux epitomizes the Medoc's ability to make Cabernet Sauvignon shine in a blend. The attack is juicy and creamy, and the wine is well-structured thanks to a solid backbone. A reliable Poujeaux, unflappable, chiselled and ready to defy the years to come. What a great success" (Yves Beck 2021) - Delivery in wooden cases possible for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (depending on country and shipping method selected).

"Beautiful intensity, red and black fruit, powerful but ripe tannin, good length and volume, good balance. Solid and robust, with real tannin maturity. Good length. One of the most successful in the château's recent history and a classic in the sector". (Le Guide Bettane & Desseauve des Vins 2018) Delivery in wooden case for orders of 3 magnums of this wine.

"The intensity and elegance of the bright garnet-red color are matched by an equally seductive bouquet of ripe fruit, toast and spices with floral nuances. Built on a noble woodiness and muscular tannins, without harshness, the palate is powerful and robust, yet retains real elegance and remarkable balance. A truly great wine for laying down, which it would be a shame to serve for at least four or five years". (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2014) - Delivery in wooden crate for orders delivered in France of 6 bottles of this wine - (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2014)
