\r\n \r\nAfter the Second World War, Fernand Bouquemont was joined by his son-in-law, André Bonnaire. Born into a family of Champagne winegrowers going back several generations, he devoted all his attention to growing vines and developing the vineyard, with the help of his son Jean-Louis. \r\n \r\nToday, with a vineyard of over 22 hectares planted mainly with Chardonnay in the Grands Crus of Champagne, the adventure continues. Indeed, after this decisive impetus in modernizing the production facilities and contributing to the reputation of Champagne Bonnaire, increasingly recognized by connoisseurs of fine wines, Jean-Louis Bonnaire, the company's current President, continues to oversee the company's development with a passion for his profession. Today, a new generation is in place with his two sons: Jean-Etienne in charge of production and Jean-Emmanuel in charge of the wine trade.
"Produced from the 2006 and 2005 harvests, this cork-aged blanc de blancs is low dosage, bordering on extra-brut. Highly praised in the last edition, it has been acclaimed again this year. Intense and complex on the nose, it blends butter, brioche, honey, toast and mandarin orange, before revealing a full, buttery palate, taut with a fine acidity that underlines its length".
"A vintage in its maturity, with a nose of white chocolate, hazelnut, yellow fruit and toast, a prelude to a balanced palate, both full and fresh, with aromas of toast and apricot." (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2016)
Beautifully perfumed, the Brut rosé is fresh and fruity, with hints of Pinot Noir. Made mainly from Chardonnay, it is fleshy, full-bodied and tender on the palate. A well-balanced dosage allows this blend to express itself with length and racy character.
