Robert Parker

"Mauro 2012 is made from Tempranillo and Syrah grapes from the villages of Tudela de Duero, Traspinedo, Santibanez and Quintanilla de Onésimo, where the soils are rich in chalk and clay, with parts of stony sand. Aged in oak barrels for 16 months, the wine combines freshness with red and black fruit aromas. The oak is well integrated, with good balance and a certain elegance. The palate is medium-bodied, with good acidity and fine, highly polished tannins. A great vintage for this wine". (Wine Advocate - Robert Parker)
