With its surprising composition of four Hispanic grape varieties, this cuvée is dominated by aromas of red and black berries, reminiscent of blueberry and blackberry. The supple attack heralds a full-bodied palate, with very silky tannins. Roundness and volume are complemented by a powerful finish with balanced mentholated nuances. A red to discover!

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (2020 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, in line with what one has the right to expect from its appellation(s))
About the domain :
This attractive estate comprises 18 hectares of vines divided into small parcels located in Bize, in the Minervois des Causses part of the Montagne Noire foothills terroir, at the northeastern end of the appellation. This estate is making real progress. Vinification is moving towards gentler, less intensive extractions, so the wines are gaining in fruit precision and fresh balance. As a result, they are pleasant to drink, greedy and enjoyable, while retaining the estate's trademark tension and vitality. These Minervois wines are complemented by a range of particularly well-crafted igp wines from the Aude region, whose names are obviously linked to those of the estate.

Domain rated (guide 2021) Selected (We remind you that this guide is a prize list and as such, all the domains that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).
About the domain :
Domain Created in 2002 by four wine-loving partners from Saumur, Le Loup Blanc offers Minervois wines blended from Languedoc grape varieties. Work in the vineyard immediately focused on organic and biodynamic farming. The expression of each cuvée remains precise: here we find wines to drink on the fruit, but also fine cuvées for ageing. The property houses two comfortable, tastefully decorated gîtes.
