"Morello cherry and licorice appear on aeration of this deep ruby wine. Pleasant from the outset, it envelops the palate with its fruity flesh, underpinned by tannins that leave a slight bitterness on the finish, but without a hitch." (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2020) A great vintage!

Expert opinion

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Rated 14/20 (Good wine)

Domain rated 1*Star (A serious, commendable production, in keeping with what one has the right to expect from its appellation(s))

About the wine:

The tannic mass deserves a year's rest to mellow and reveal a very frisky bloody fruit.

About the domain :

The result of a long family history, Domaine Bruneau-Dupuy is now run by Sylvain. Since 2012, the vineyard has been in organic conversion. The estate covers an area of 20 hectares, protected by forest to the north. Half of the vineyard is located on south-facing slopes, covered with old vines planted on clay-limestone soils. The wines produced from these vines are full-bodied and long on the palate. The other half of the vineyard is planted in sandy soils, producing lighter, fruitier wines to be enjoyed young. At less than 15 euros, the wines offer good value for money.
